Coat hangger

we started off with 49x19x600 of meranti wood we cut it in to two lots of 300 then we measured out the oblique bridle joints and cut them out then glued the two pieces together and let it dry we then drilled a hole for the hook and used araldite glue to glue in the hook!

Wooden Coat Hanger (week 1 term 3)

today we drew the wooden coat hanger on to sketch up and we had a little bit of a problem with finding out how to draw and insert the wooden dowel. Overall the sketch was a simple and easy!

Week 2 - make the inside pieces



We all started with a long piece of wood and cut it into four bits.

After cutting the pieces out then i used the scroll saw and cut out the joints.
This is what it looks like when you have put the pieces together.

Tools used:  tenon saw, chisel, mallet, marking gauge, disc sander

This is the box when all the pieces are glued and nailed together.
